Master
- 720 days of service on Ocean, Near Coastal or Great Lakes, OF WHICH:
- Service on Inland waters other than GL MAY be substitutable for up to 360 days of the required service.
Mate
- 360 days of service on Ocean, Near Coastal waters or Great Lakes, OF WHICH:
- Service on Inland waters other than GLMAY be substitutable for up to 180 days of the required service.
INLAND
Master
- 360 total days of service on any waters
Mate
- 180 days service in the deck department.
GREAT LAKES
Master
360 total days of service, OF WHICH:
- 90 days of service on Great Lakes, otherwise the endorsement will be limited to inland waters of the United States (excluding the Great Lakes)
Mate
- 180 days service in the deck department, OF WHICH:
- 90 days must have been on Great Lakes
SAIL
Master
- In addition to the required courses, 180 days on sail or auxiliary sail vessels.
