New England Marine Engineering & Supply, Inc, located at 133 North Front St, New Bedford, MA, is accepting applications for their Marine Mechanic position. They are looking for a motivated, hardworking, team-oriented tradesman to join their team and provide training in the Commercial Fishing & Marine Transportation Field.

Candidates should have experience in the following:

• Pumps
• Electric motors
• LED/Halogen/Metal Halide lighting
• Electric panels 12/24/120/208/480 volt
• Single & three phase
• Black iron/stainless steel/PVC/copper piping
• Bearings
• Sheaves
• Battery chargers
• Hydraulics
• *Heating, air conditioning and refrigeration is a plus

Candidates should be able to perform the following:

• Work independently
• Follow clear instructions
• Lift up to 70lbs
• Climb over 40′ with safety harness
• Work with hand & power tools
• Use & understand volt meter,
• Remove/install pumps and electric motors

Requirements:

• Must have a valid drivers license
• Must have the ability to operate a service van with no restrictions
