E4sciences is a growing geotechnical and hydrographic survey company expanding our fleet of research vessels to serve the offshore energy and coastal construction industries.

E4sciences is looking for for Deck Hands for their 55’ research vessel doing geotechnical and hydrographic surveys in the offshore wind industry. The vessel is currently working out of Highlands, NJ, on 12 hours/day, seven days/week schedule. Four weeks on/off crew rotation.

Daily duties include:

• Engine rooms pre-departure inspections
• Line handling
• Assisting with the deployment and recovery of geotechnical equipment
• Serving as lookout and steering survey lines
• Performing routine system maintenance

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• STCW Basic Safety Training
• Experience working on similarly sized vessels
• Experience with diesel engine, electrical and hydraulic systems
• Pre-employment and random drug testing.
• Ability to work well in a close team environment

Company Paid STCW available to the right candidate.

Other skills and experience that are strongly considered:

• USCG licenses
• Jet boat experience
• Crain operator or rigging.
• Survey/ Research vessel/ Work Boat experience
• Experience working in offshore wind or oil/gas
