Fairhaven, Massachusetts USA, December 10th, 2021 – Northeast Maritime Institute (NMI) is pleased to announce a signed partner agreement with Kongsberg Digital (KDI), based in Horten, Norway. This partner agreement includes the delivery of a range of K-Sim Connect cloud-based simulation applications by Kongsberg Digital. The dynamic learning system of Northeast Maritime Online (NEMO°) allows NMI students globally to utilize the cutting-edge K-Sim Connect applications of Kongsberg.

KDI’s K-Sim Connect digital platform is designed to enhance maritime education and training with their cutting-edge simulation solutions. The product library currently consists of engine management, cargo handling, Radar, ECDIS and route planning simulation solutions. The library will soon expand to include more applications in the navigation training domain.

In recent years, NMI has designed an online learning management system, which delivers a wide range of courses, reaching mariners across the globe. NEMO° has emerged as a leading transformative model for maritime education, training, simulation, examination, and certification. K-Sim Connect’s product library will provide NEMO° with comprehensive resources to ensure mariners receive the education they deserve.
