Qualified veterans may have access to a maximum of $23,672 for tuition annually, $1,776 for housing (monthly) and $1,000 for books (annually)(based upon length of service; a percentage of this maximum may be available) per academic year under this program.

International Licensing Through Dominica International Maritime Registry
The Commonwealth of Dominica Maritime Administration wants to help guide you through the next phase of your career. Career tracks which provide you with the required steps to become a successful professional mariner. After all phases of the career track are complete, students will receive a Certificate of Competency and Certificate of Endorsement and/or Seafarer ID Book indicating their capacity for their respective new maritime careers. Credentials are issued by the Commonwealth of Dominica Maritime Administration.

Individuals who are passionate about entering the maritime industry, may enroll in NMI’s 2 year Associate in Applied Science in Nautical Science degree program which combines four semesters of on-site courses with two summer internship opportunities at sea.
Upon graduation, students obtain the Associate in Applied Science in Nautical Science diploma as well as qualify for licensing under STCW A-II/3 and A-II/5 with multiple endorsements.
