U.S. Coast Guard Approved; STCW 95 Compliant

This course is designed for mariners who hold a Master 100 Gross Ton License**

This USCG approved license course teaches students the subjects and practical knowledge to perform as Master or Mate of vessels up to 200 Gross Tons, Near Coastal. Subjects covered include: license structure, rules of the road, watch-standing, navigation, shiphandling, emergency procedures, first aid, firefighting, pollution, stability, and National Maritime Law. Final exams in lieu of those given at the USCG are given by NMI at the end of the course.

**If you do not hold a Master 100 GT license, you would need to complete the OUPV Upgrade to Master 100 Gross Ton course in addition to this course

 

Class days and time: Mon-Fri, 8:30 am- 5:00 pm; Evening classes also available (generally) Mon, Wed and Thurs, 6:30- 9:30 pm

Prerequisite: Hold a Master 100 Gross Ton license or Completion Certificate from a USCG Approved Master 100 GT Course; Sea time required by 46CFR Subpart D (min. 720 days of sea-service; vessel size requirements) Master 100 Gross Tons license.
