This 8 hour course satisfies the Navigation General examination requirements for a license as Apprentice Mate (Steersman) Western Rivers. The completion certificate from this course can be submitted to the U.S. Coast Guard for issuance of a Western Rivers endorsement on an Apprentice (Mate) Steersman License.
