This course is designed for mariners who do not previously hold a CG License
An applicant who successfully complets this 94-hour Master Not More Than 100 Gross Tons course and presents his/her Certificate of Training at a Regional Exam Center within one year of completion of training, will satisfy the examination requirements of 46 CFR 10.205(I) for original issuance or 46 CFR 10.209 ( C) (iii) for renewal of license as Master or Mate of Steam or Motor Vessels Not More Than 100 Gross tons (except ocean). This course covers the subjects and practical knowledge to perform as Master 25, 50, 100 GT, Near Coastal. covered topics include: license structure, rules of the road, watch-standing, navigation, shiphandling, emergency procedures, first aid, firefighting, pollution and National Maritime Law.

Prerequisite: Sea time required by 46CFR Subpart D (min. 720 days of sea-service; vessel size requirements)
