USCG Approved, STCW Compliant

This 40 hour USCG approved course satisfies the training requirements of 46 CFR 13.309 for an endorsement as Tankerman-PIC (Barge). This course provides the trainee with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to safely transfer dangerous liquids on tank barges. The following topics are just a few of those that will be covered in this program: Basic principles and procedures when handling dangerous liquids, personal safety, tank barge equipment,  pre-transfer planning, cargo surveying and calculations, and pollution prevention. . We will also utilize company specific paperwork, pipeline schematics, and any other pertinent information to assist in creating a training experience that relates to the particulars of customers equipment and policies.

This course will be offered starting February 2008.
