Susan joined our ranks in January 2003. She is a veteran of the Coast Guard, where she spent a number of years at the CG Academy teaching and training cadets on board the Barque Eagle. Susan brings a wide range of training and teaching experience to Northeast Maritime. She also holds a Master 200 Gross Tons Aux. Sail, Near Coastal license with an AB Unlimited endorsement. Susan is approved to teach the following courses at NMI:

• OUPV, Master 100 and Master 200 Gross Tons
• Upgrade OUPV to Master 100 Tons, Upgrade Master 100 Tons to Master 200 Gross Tons
• Towing Assistance
• Auxiliary Sail
• Proficiency in Survival Craft/Lifeboatman
• Personal Safety & Social Responsibility
• Able Seaman
• Personal Survival Techniques
